Build to print

Build-to-print control panels, built exactly as drawn

Send us your schematics, layout, and BOM. We review them, raise questions in writing, build to UL 508A, test, and ship with your redlines. Nothing changes without your approval.

Your package

What to send for a firm quote

The more complete the package, the tighter the quote. Partial packages are fine; we’ll list what we assumed.

Schematics

AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN native files, or PDFs. Native files let us return redlines in your format.

Panel layout

Backplate and door layouts with dimensions. If there is no layout, we can produce one from the schematics.

BOM

Manufacturer and part number for each line, with quantities. Tell us which items you will furnish.

Ratings

Supply voltage, available fault current or required SCCR, and enclosure type rating.

Labeling spec

Wire numbering, device tags, nameplate content, and label material if your project specifies them.

Test expectations

Whether we write the PLC program or you supply one for I/O checkout, and who will witness FAT.

Drawing review

What we check before material is ordered

A review costs a few hours. Finding the same problem on the backplate costs days.

  • BOM against schematics

Every device on the drawings is on the BOM with the right rating, and every BOM line appears on the drawings.

  • Layout against reality

Component dimensions, wire duct fill, heat sources, and manufacturer clearances for drives and power supplies.

  • SCCR

The lowest-rated component in each power circuit identified, and the resulting panel SCCR checked against the stated fault current.

  • Code items

Conductor sizing and protection, disconnect requirements, spacing, and grounding checked against UL 508A and NFPA 79 where it applies.

Material

Substitutions and customer-furnished items

No silent swaps

If a part is unavailable or on long lead, we propose an alternate in writing with the impact on SCCR, footprint, and wiring. You approve or reject it.

Customer-furnished material

PLCs, drives, or HMIs you supply are received, inspected, and logged against your BOM, with photos of anything damaged in transit.

Brand-flexible

Allen-Bradley and alternates such as Siemens, Schneider, Eaton, or Phoenix Contact, whatever your BOM or site standard calls for.

Redlines

Drawings that match the panel

  • Marked as we build

Any change agreed through an RFI is marked on the drawings during the build, not reconstructed afterwards.

  • Returned to you

Redlines come back in PDF, or in your native format if you sent native files, so your as-builts stay in your system.

  • Your title block

We don’t replace your title block or add our name to your drawings.
